Before starting, name the intended outcome and capture a useful baseline, such as a lab value, symptom pattern, or functional measure. Select an appropriate intervention and immediately schedule reassessment; Ashley Koff commonly uses 90 days but shortens or lengthens the window when the outcome requires it. At review, compare the result with baseline rather than relying on memory or the fact that the pills were taken. Continue only when the evidence and context justify it; otherwise adjust the dose, investigate absorption or root causes, or stop. The rule protects health and money by requiring every non-food input to earn its place through an explicit feedback loop.
